U.S. Geological Survey
Wednesday, November 30, 2022, 8:19 AM ChST (Tuesday, November 29, 2022, 22:19 UTC)

Report prepared by the U.S. Geological Survey.

AHYI SEAMOUNT (VNUM #284141)
20°25'12" N 145°1'48" E, Summit Elevation -449 ft (-137 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

The aviation color code and volcano alert level for Ahyi Seamount was raised to Yellow and Advisory yesterday following observations of unrest at the volcano in satellite and hydrophone data over the past several weeks.  Observations over the past 24 hours show no activity in hydrophone or satellite data.  Given recent activity, the volcano could resume signs of unrest without a lot of warning and marine hazards above or near the seamount are possible.
