PAGAN VOLCANO (VNUM #284170)
18°7'48" N 145°48' E, Summit Elevation 1870 ft (570 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

Seismic, infrasound, and web camera data from Pagan Volcano remain temporarily unavailable. Steam plumes, typical for Pagan, could occasionally be seen in MODIS satellite data during the past week.

Volcanic gas from Pagan may be noticed downwind of the volcano as a distinctive sulfurous odor. Additional information about volcanic gas and vog can be found on the web at this address: http://hvo.wr.usgs.gov/hazards/FAQ_SO2-Vog-Ash/main.html

SARIGAN VOLCANO (VNUM #284192)
16°42'29" N 145°46'48" E, Summit Elevation 1765 ft (538 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: UNASSIGNED
Current Aviation Color Code: UNASSIGNED

Equipment failure on 29 December resulted in the loss of seismic data from Sarigan, so we are no longer monitoring the volcano with local data. Repair of monitoring systems will be attempted in late January. No unusual seismicity was observed before equipment failure, and we have received no reports of activity at Sarigan during the past week.

ANATAHAN VOLCANO (VNUM #284200)
16°21' N 145°40'12" E, Summit Elevation 2592 ft (790 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: NORMAL
Current Aviation Color Code: GREEN

Equipment failure on 29 December resulted in the loss of seismic data from Anatahan, so we are no longer monitoring the volcano with local data. Repair of monitoring systems will be attempted in late January. No unusual seismicity was observed before equipment failure, and we have received no reports of activity at Anatahan during the past week.

OTHER NORTHERN MARIANA ISLAND VOLCANOES
