USGS Volcano Hazards Program Volcano Update

The real-time computer system located four small earthquakes in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update at 9:19 AM (PST) on November 24. All were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera. The largest was a magnitude M=2.2 earthquake at 7:31 AM on the 25th located beneath Wheeler Ridge (5 miles NW of Round Valley).
